December Batch ’98 Grand Reunion: Major topic of the First Batch Tapok

With the shared agreement of Ronel Labaso and the Batch, the generous Ronel hosted the first Tapok of the Batch of the year held last July 19, 2007 (Sunday) at their very own residence in Barangay San Juan, Alegria, Surigao del Norte. The tapok started with the lunch preparation at 10:00 in the morning and the banquet at about 12:00 noon.

The Batch who attended the tapok were Zita Macabodbod, Ellen Estoria, Ronel Labaso, Welsen Sajol, Eyana Jamera, Joseph Reformina, Lyn Leopoldo, Melanie Ysalina, Ivy Ellar, Roco Moca, Myra Luz Baradillo, Bernard Orquina and Johny Natad.

Johny along with Roco and Bernard informed the Batch about the plan for ANHS Batch ’98 Grand Reunion by December 2007. They presented and explained the activity design of the reunion which shall compose of four parts: tree planting activity; opening program and organizational set-up meeting; parlor games and presentation of talents; and closing program. Such activity design was send to Juvy Zamora, the Batch Senior Federated President; to Fe Sinogaya, the Batch Valedictorian; to Ester Bernardo, the Batch Salutatorian; to Rutchel Tinambacan, the Batch Battalion Commander; and to Jalia Odvina, the member of the Batch who’s now in Dubai and who is committed to donate a certain amount in support to the activity. Recently, the design was also given to Rubie Odvina, the Batch Senior Federated Auditor.

The planned reunion garnered approval and support of the Batch. In fact, Engr. Roco accepted the responsibility being the Overall Coordinator as head of the Facilitation and Solicitation Committee. Ronel showed the willingness to be the Area Coordinator for San Juan. As the per design, Bernard is delegated to become the host or master of ceremony with Ester Bernardo. Juvy is the General Manager of the incoming Batch Reunion. Teacher Ivy is assigned to invite and search the profile of the guest speaker of the activity. With the preliminary discussion with Teacher Juvy via internet, Engr. Catalino PaƱares, who was the Fourth Year Saturn Adviser during high school, is chosen to be the guest speaker. Teacher Myra Luz was assigned in the Food and Article Preparation Committee. Other responsibilities especially the area coordinators and members to Committees like on Facilitation and Solicitation; Venue and Program Arrangement; and Food & Articles Preparation will be discussed soon on the next tapok.

The activity culminated with an agreement that there will be a monthly tapok in order to update the Batch in preparation to the upcoming Batch ’98 Grand Reunion. Probably, the next tapok will be held at Kitcharao.
